Guided by a single idea — “giving form to ideas” — Itoh Kanpo pairs the discipline of traditional Japanese kampo with modern food science, so that quality is something you can feel across every stage of life.

From its roots as an oriental-medicine wholesaler in Doshomachi, Osaka, the company grew into a maker of supplements, quasi-drugs and cosmetics — earning GMP certification for both its health-food and dietary-supplement manufacturing.
That heritage is the reason a Japanese label carries a genuine trust premium. Our role is to protect it: to move product cleanly from factory to shelf, without dilution or grey-market shortcuts.
1887Umekichi Itoh opens an oriental-medicine wholesale business in Doshomachi, Osaka.
1958Reorganized as Itoh Kanpo Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.; pharmaceutical manufacturing begins.
